Supporting Your Immune System with WHOLE FOODS
April 20, 2020 Report
As a Nutrititonist and Mom to three kids, I highly recommend taking some form of probiotics daily to help support our immune systems. Usually, I receommend getting your probiotics through real, whole foods such as yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, or miso among others but now is not the time to be running out to the store on a whim because you don't have any yogurt in your fridge.
These Garden of Life Probiotics are shelf stable and can be used in place of whole foods. They are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and vegetarian. On the regular, I do not receommend supplements BUT in these crazy times, you have to do what is right for your family, and your community and that can mean making some different choices than you usually make. Thank goodness there are options out there that you can order online, knowing exactly what you're getting! You can feel good about these probiotics because they are not synthetic...replacing the whole foods you're used to with...whole foods!
Use these once a day by opening them up and sprinkling in your smoothie or just take them once during the day as you see fit. There is no guarantee you won't get a cold or flu by taking these, but it will certainly help you in your goal of staying healthy by supporting a healthy immune system.
