Triphala Plus from Sewanti’s Ayurvedic series is an herbal capsule that is taditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine in the treatment of indigestion, constipation and to strengthen the eyes. This capsule is completely natural and includes only fruit, herb, and root extracts. Triphala translates to 3 fruits; haritaki, bhibhitaki, and amalaki, but Sewanti’s Triphala PLUS has 2 more added ingredients: bhumyamalaki (herb) and yastimadhu (root).
Haritaki is a tree from which its small green fruit are used in Ayurvedic medicine. This fruit is often used to treat constipation, but has many anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties as well.
Bhibhitaki is also a tree from which its small fruit is commonly used in India. Most prevalent for its ability to treat bacterial and viral infections, additionally it has been used to treat diabetes and reduce high blood sugar
Amalaki, also known as Indian gooseberry, is commonly used to treat constipation. It is high in vitamin C, amino acids, and minerals as well.
Bhumyamalaki’s leaves and fruits are traditionally used to protect the liver. Yastimadhu (licorice!) is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant herb with numerous benefits, including protecting your liver, brain and heart.
