You already tell people what to buy. This free guide sets you up in about 20 minutes, from anywhere in the world.
What to expectAmazon pays a small percentage of each sale, usually a few percent, so earnings start small and grow with how often you share. It's a way to earn extra from things you already do, not a job or a guaranteed income. It costs nothing to start.
1
Where do you live?
You join the Amazon program for your own country. Amazon pays you in your own currency.
2
Join Amazon Associates
This is Amazon's free program that pays people for sales they send. Sign up with your normal Amazon account.
Your website or mobile app: a public social account you post on, like your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook page, or YouTube. Amazon checks it, so use one where you actually share things.
Store ID: any short name, like your first name. Amazon adds a code to the end, such as -20. This becomes your Associates ID.
What your site is about: a sentence in your own words, like "I share products I use for my kids and home."
Payment and tax info: you can do this later, but you need it before Amazon can pay you.
Amazon reviews your account after your first sales. Make at least 3 sales within 180 days or Amazon closes the application, and you can apply again later.

Add your ID to Peopletail
Your ID is shown at the top of your Amazon Associates page, next to "Store ID". It looks like yourname-20.
4
Make your first link
Think of one thing you love and would happily recommend: a kitchen gadget, a kid's toy, a book, your favourite face cream.
These keep your Amazon account safe and get you more sales.
Share where people already follow you. Your posts, stories, your bio, a family or community group where recommendations are welcome.
Only message people who asked. Sending links to friends is fine when they asked what you'd recommend. Don't mass-text or email your contacts; Amazon can close your account for that.
Always say it's an affiliate link. Peopletail's Share button adds this for you. On your own posts, add something like "I earn a small commission if you buy."
Recommend things you really like. Honest picks get more clicks and keep friends trusting you.
Share a little, often. One good pick a day beats twenty at once.
