Finally an eco-friendly gum!

Finally an eco-friendly gum!

Did you know that something as simple as chewing gum can have an impact on the environment?

Let's start by thinking about the packaging: plastic, metallic film, and waxy cardboard/paper - all end up in the trash.

The ingredients aren't any better. Chewing gum is made of synthetic plastic polymers. The most commonly used polymer is polyisobutylene which is also used an engine lubricant. This is obviously not biodegradable but to mention UNHEALTHY.

Not biodegradable = tons of litter. Chewing gum is the second most litter item behind cigarettes. All this litter ends up in our natural systems and the food chain.

What can we do? Is there a better option? Yes! @chewsygum is a sugar-free, plant-based, plastic free, biodegradable gum.

This eco-warrior of a gum is made from these non-gmo plants:

• Birch (Xylitol)

• Sapodilla (Chicle Gum Base)

• Acacia (Gum Arabic)

• Spearmint

• Sunflower

• Brazilian Palm (Carnauba Wax)

The plants provide benefits above and beyond fresh breath: spearmint is anti-bacterial, and gum arabic soothes sore throats and coughs.

What more could you want?? This gum ticks all the boxes and tastes great too! (Even my 3 year old nephew agrees!)

The only downside: the box doesn't stay closed too well... Don't say I didn't warn you!
