Consuming nutrient dense wholefoods is important in relation to taking synthetic supplements as it has a higher absorption rate (since your body recognizes it more energetically). Baobab - a fruit from a beautiful tree originating in Madagascar is full of Vitamin C and happens to be what its most famous for. It also provides magnesium, manganese, potassium and some B vitamins! Each of these are essential for the body to thrive. I really love this brand as it is organic and raw without any preservatives or methods to destroy its nutritional value. 

Its texture alone is not my favorite, the powder tends to make a coating around the mouth but that isnt a problem since the best way to consume it is in a smoothie, juice or water. It definitely has a critusy/sour flavor profile which can cut the sweetness if your smoothie is too sweet!

How I incorporate it into my smoothies at home is in the recipe just down below:)


- 2 tbsp of Baobab powder

- 1/2 frozen banana

- 1/2 frozen avocado

- 1 cup of frozen blueberries

- 1 tbsp of raw unpasteurized honey

- 1 1/2 cup of coconut milk

- 5 ice cubes

Blend and enjoy!
