Pineapple Dream Squares to die for!
May 07, 2020 Report
I wanted to make a sweet treat for my mom she will love this Mothers Day. With most bakeries closed in my area I made the sweetest thing of all without adding icing sugar! Our family recipe for the most amazing Pineapple Dream Squares are to die for! Now the family recipe will have two new natural sugar alternatives in the family book.
I made two separate Pineapple Dream Squares one with Flavorall Stevia’s and one with traditional icing sugar to see the difference. And I can proudly report the flavorall was a huge hit! I loved the Flavourall squares because they didn’t taste overly sweet and the vanilla was the perfect match in the crust. The perfect mix of pineapple, vanilla and sweetness. The Valiant Vanilla smells amazing! Just like pure natural vanilla I’ve had in Mexico. The Pineapple Pleasure is marvellous, I just want to drink the bottle. Tastes amazing not only in desserts but in Pina Coladas :) !
I am totally hooked on Stevia now after trying these. Stevia is actually made from the leaves of the stevia rebaudiana plant and it’s been used for over 1,500 in South America to sweeten tea and medicine. Unlike sucralose and aspartame found in regular sugars that are manmade in a lab Stevia is 100% plant based. Stevia is actually 250-300 times sweeter than regular sugar so you only need 4-6 drops in a cup of tea. I used less than two tablespoons for my entire 9x9 dish. There’s zero calories or carbohydrates, no GMOs, alcohol, or gluten. These little gems can help you lose weight, manage your blood sugar and can reduce heart disease. Love the fact it’s kosher and diabetic friendly for those who are in need of an alternative sugar to enjoy daily. These little bottles are all natural with only three ingredients:
-Natural pineapple or vanilla
Each bottle is 50ml and will last me quite some time since you only need a few drops. The lid is similar to an eye dropper bottle and is tight and secure with no leaking. You can hold the bottle easily in your hand and just need a tiny bit of pressure to squeeze drops out. The control of the bottle is perfect, you can count exactly how many you’ve added into your recipe or drink. The labelling is great because every favor is coloured coded. While I was baking my delicious Pineapple Dream Squares I didn’t have to stop and read the text and could tell which was which by the colour. The green, black and blue font stands out great on a white background and is clear and easy to read.
After eating my Pineapple Square I noticed my teeth did have that sugary film and I didn’t feel stomach sick from a sugar overload. I can’t wait to surprise my mother will her favourite squares now without the bad icing sugar. Love that Flavorall can be mixed into any drink and can’t wait to try it in my coffee. These sugar free and guilt free liquids are just what I’ve been searching for. Can’t wait to try all the other flavors!
Below is my Pineapple Dream Squares recipe:
-2 1/2 Cups of graham crumbs
-1 cup unsalted butter
-4 oz of cream cheese
-430ml fresh whipping cream
-6 drops Flavorall valiant vanilla
-1 tablespoon Flavorall pineapple pleasure
-20 oz crushed or sliced pineapple
Preheat the oven to 300F. Prepare the crust by melting 1 cup of unsalted butter in the microwave then set aside to cool. Mix half the butter, graham crumbs, and 6 drops Flavorall vanilla. Lay half the crumbs on the bottom of a 9x9 baking pan making sure to press it down until it’s firm. Bake on middle rack for 8 minutes then set aside to cool.
Mix the cream cheese and remaining butter well, I prefer a hand mixer. Add 1 tablespoon of Flavourall pineapple pleasure. Add the cream cheese mixture to the baking dish. Blend the whipping cream with mixer for 2 minutes then add in pineapple. Once well whipped add on top of cream cheese. Sprinkle the rest of the graham cracker crumbs on top. Place in freezer or fridge for a couple hours or overnight.
