DIY Hand Sanitizer
March 09, 2020 Report
Hey Tarra here - with my daughter Natalie!
There is so much panic these days about the Corona Virus, which is obvious when you try to buy hand sanitizer in the stores - THERE IS NONE!
My family and I are travelling this March Break and we always bring sanitizer for the airplane and just to have, so when the stores turned up empty - we decided to make our own. I don't claim to own this recipe, because, well there aren't many versions so I'm sure lots of people have it.
- 2/3 cup Rubbing Alcohol ( I bought this at Rexell)
- 1/3 cup Aloe Vera Gel (after sun gel) ( Rexell )
- 1 tsp melted Coconut Oil ( Metro )
- 5-10 drops of Tea Tree or Lavender Oil (Rexell)
Mix everything together first then add the melted coconut oil, you will see how this changes the consistency of the liquid making it thicker. The hardest part of this recipe is getting it into your reusable container!
Thanks to my partner in crime, Jenna, for editing this video and making us actually look like we know what we're doing lol
