My Go-to Soaps

April 08, 2019

I'm not usually one to purchase bar soaps when it comes to cleaning products for my body, as I prefer shower gels, but these two brands have changed my opinion on that.

1. Buck Naked Soap Company - Lavender & Rosemary

Buck Naked soaps look almost too nice to use. I bought this bar a few months ago and I can truly say it's amazing. Handcrafted from high quality ingredients, this brand is my number one go-to for bars.

It's made from coconut, castor, and sustainably sourced palm oil, so it works to clean and restore moisture to the skin. It also leaves the skin feeling hydrated, which I find other bars don't (your skin seems to feel dry and stiff after using them).

This bar is biodegradable, vegan, and free of artifical colours and fragrances.

I've purchased a few of their other bars but this is by far my favourite!

2. Schmidt's Activated Charcoal Natural Bar Soap

Charcoal is an incredibly versatile product that I use for a multitude of reasons, and cleaning my face and body is one of them.

Schmidt's charcoal soap is fantastic. It has a very mild and light scent so it's not overpowerng and lingering. This bar is enriched with activated charcoal powder and  bamboo, which means it's great at cleansing and moisturizing the skin and doesn't leave it feeling dry like other charcoal soaps can.

It's also free of SLS, PEG, phthalates, artificial fragrances, and artificial dyes so there's nothing but pure ingredients being put on your skin.

Many of the ingredients used in this bar are sustainably harvested, too, which is a huge bonus for me.
